The great gardens are carefully made, so we can appreciate them whether we are outside in the garden or viewing them from within the interior of a temple or pavilion. As we can see here, William carefully planned this composition so that no columns overlap and obstruct our eyes from the important elements in the garden. He has left gaps between all of the columns so that our eyes can breathe and feel the rhythm of colors and shapes. Time is passing slowly in this calm garden.
