Sesshu-ji (or Funda-in), a subtemple of Tofukuji, offers a quiet, serene moment through its arrangement of space. You can sit still for a long period of the time and never get tired of being here. William would spend hours over the years with his images to bring out the color and shades he had originally envisioned. The geometric lines of the shoji screen contrast with the naturally curved lines of the tree branches outside. The three stones are rhythmically yet peacefully placed.
