Hakuryu-en: The White Dragon Garden (B-103)

From the The Gardens of Kyoto collection.

The owner of this garden said these tiny white flowers—Strawberry Geranium (yukinoshita)—were his mothers favorite, but nowadays there are not as many was when William made this image in 1985. These tiny white flowers show the vitality of nature, yet soften the strong horizontal lines of the stone steps.
