William Corey Gallery is pleased to announce that arrangements are being made with University of Massachusetts Amherst Libraries to archive William Corey’s lifework. Under the plan, Corey’s photographic works are to be placed in the long-term care of Robert S. Cox Special Collections and University Archives Research Center for digitization, exhibition, research, and education. Inclusion in the UMass archives will help ensure that the works — including field notes, original large format negatives and antique view camera — will be preserved for the benefit of future generations.
The William Corey Gallery will continue to promote and sell Corey’s photographs for the foreseeable future.
Please note that while much of William Corey’s extensive work will eventually be catalogued on the Amherst Libraries website, not all images that appear there will be offered by the William Corey Gallery for sale.
